ABSTRACT The aim was to evaluate the diseases severity on corn second crop. The research was conducted on the agricultural year of 2013 and 2014, evaluating the application quality over the fungicide spraying. The hybrid used was PIONEER 30k75 BT HERCULEX, evaluating the diseases severity previously and after the fungicide spraying, spray deposition on the culture and productivity. The aerial application was carried out with solution volume of 7.5, 13.5, 20 and 30.3 L ha-1, using automatic rotating nozzles, and the ground application with 90, 110, 130 and 150 L ha-1, uniform flat spray tips. ABSTRACT: Curent interest in site-specific weed control considering the weed spatial variability is increasing nowadays, when economical and environmental aspects are considered. This paper reviews the patch spraying methods for herbicides application systems regarding the economical and technical aspects. Using this new approach high herbicides savings are possible, maintaining the efficacy of chemical control using the site-specific herbicide applications, and consequently reducing the environmental impact of the broadcast application of herbicides.

Application methods and dosages of thiamethoxam in thrips control on tomato plants Horticultura Brasileira

Thrips is one of the most important vector species of the tomato spotted wilt tospovirus (TSWV) in Brazil. Two different pesticide application methods, drench x spray, using thiamethoxam were compared with commonly used insecticides for thrips control in tomato plants, Debora Plus. The experimental design consisted of a complete randomized block design with seven treatments and four replicates. Dosages of 150 and 200 g of a.i. per ha were used in just one drench application and 50 g of a.i. ha-1 sprayed, at weekly intervals, 48 days after sowing. Avaliação de perdas de pulverização em culturas de feijão e de tomate. Infoteca-e

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a quantidade de agrotóxico perdida durante a pulverização da cultura de feijão e de tomate. Na de feijão, os testes foram realizados quando as plantas se apresentavam com 15, 35 e 60 cm de altura, enquanto, para o tomate, com 40 e 70 cm de altura. Em todos os testes, a deposição no topo das plantas foi maior do que a da região mediana e basal. As perdas para a cultura do feijão ficaram entre 49 e 88% do total do traçador aplicado e, as do tomate, entre 44 e 70%.

ABSTRACT During pesticide spraying, the psychrometric conditions of the air may cause evaporation of the droplets along their trajectory from the nozzle to the target. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of air psychrometric conditions and operating pressure on the droplet spectrum of air-assisted boom sprayers. The test was performed using a prototype equipped with an axial fan, a flow homogenizer, temperature and relative air humidity sensors, a spray nozzle and a gas-heating system to warm up the airflow. ABSTRACT This paper aimed at investigating the knowledge level of people working on pesticide spraying activities concerning spray adjuvant properties, as well as collecting information on disposal locations for residues from internal spray tank cleaning, and finally the understanding of pesticide spray drift occurrence in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. ABSTRACT: Available information on physical compatibility and stability of pesticide mixtures is scarce and often divergent. This knowledge is of fundamental importance in the success of pest, disease, and weed control programs. Compatibility and stability of two glyphosate formulations (WG and SL) in a mixture with fluazinam + deltamethrin + trifloxystrobin/cyproconazole at four diluted water concentrations and different times were evaluated under laboratory conditions. One of the critical points of the current system of crop production is the use of pesticides, which in addition to increasing the cost of production, can cause direct and indirect environmental contamination. This study aimed at evaluating the spatial variability of the quality of the pesticide applications using a cannon sprayer. ABSTRACT The use of remotely piloted aircrafts (RPAs) to apply plant protection products has grown a lot in agriculture worldwide. However, little research data are available regarding the efficiency and safety of this method, especially in Brazil. Thus, this review aimed to present the current scenario of scientific research involving RPAs in the application of pesticides. Several factors interfere with the quality of this type of application. Among them are height and flight speed, droplet generator elements, application rate, and spray solution properties. Antagonistic activity of bacterium B. subtilis B076 on nutrient agar medium (NA) to Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli (Aac) isolate KK9 causal agent of bacterial fruit blotch, in the laboratory of Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center for Sustainable Economy Khon Kaen University. The results revealed that the B. subtilis B076 could exhibit the inhibition zone of diameter 1.94 cm. When cultured the bacterium antagonist in nutrient broth (NB) added with 2% glucose, the maximum ratio of heat tolerant cells production (61%) was obtained five days of incubation.
